This qualification provides the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a make-up artist.
You will learn a range of skills which will make you employable in the make-up industry. A typical course for this qualification with run from 9-6. You will be required to attend at all times. This course is a great way to learn skills which will make you employable to both salons and beauty retail companies.
You will be provided with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college and a make-up kit that you will own to support you completing your practical treatments and to be used personally.
This course is a great way to learn key skills which can provide career opportunities in Beauty & Make-up, working for major brands.
The units that you study will provide you with the basic skills to perform make-up and eye services, including day, evening, special occasion make-up, and eyebrow and lash enhancement.
Other units also include: health and safety, working in the beauty industry and client care and communication.

*As part of your course you may need to complete Functional Skills in English and/or Maths or GCSE. If you do need to complete English or Maths you will complete one or more of the additional units *. If you need to complete English and/or Maths these unit/s won’t form part of your qualification.
A good level of English, successful interview and initial assessment. Potential learners need to be able to demonstrate dedication and commitment to learning and have aspirations to work and progress into the industry.
