This advanced course will further develop your practical skills and theoretical knowledge in hairdressing.
It combines study with practical learning on-the-job. You will attend college on a day-release basis while employed and working as a stylist.
You will gain evidence from your place of work, which will contribute towards the achievement of your apprenticeship. As an experienced stylist you will develop your hairdressing skills in specialist areas.
This apprenticeship programme will enable you to earn while you learn. You develop your knowledge and skills whilst gaining vital hands-on experience working in the salon.
You will also attend college one day per week where you will do 3 hours of practical work and 2 hours of theory in class, as well as 1 hour of independent study. You will be required to attend all sessions to maximise your opportunities and achieve the course requirements.

- Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
- Creatively colour and lighten hair
- Colour hair to create a variety of looks
- Hair colour correction services
- Advanced perming techniques.

It is a requirement that you are employed within the industry, to enrol onto this Apprenticeship programme.
You must be prepared to attend College one day per week and work in the salon up to 40 hours over the remaining days of the week.
Ideally you will hold GCSE Maths and English at a minimum of grade C/4. Please bring your GCSE results to your interview.
