Overview

This hands-on apprenticeship programme will provide you with a more advanced understanding of Construction and Civil Engineering. You will study key areas, such as contract laws, project management and project research.

Aims

This hands-on apprenticeship programme will provide you with a more advanced understanding of Construction and Civil Engineering. You will study key areas, such as contract laws, project management and project research. It is designed as a top-up from the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Construction Management or the HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering. 

This course combines study with practical learning on-the-job. You will attend college on a day-release basis while employed and working as an apprentice in the Construction or Civil Engineering industry. 

This apprenticeship is for any person who is or would like to work in a management role in the industry. It covers topics such as health & safety, managing the environmental impact of work activities and developing working relationships. It can be completed in either an office or site based setting. 

This course is affiliated with several professional institutes and is an internationally recognised qualification by most employers.

Modules

Construction and the Built Environment 

  • NVQ Diploma in Construction Management
  • BTEC Higher National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
  • Construction and the Built Environment or Civil Engineering Pathway.

Entry Criteria

UCAS tariff points: 120

You will hold a Higher National Certificate in Construction or Civil Engineering.
