The scheme offers suitably motivated individuals the opportunity to complete an Engineering Apprenticeship through the workshop and classroom-based activities whilst at the same time, developing the necessary skills, experience and knowledge within the workplace to potentially progress to a senior engineering or management post within Veolia. We will equip you with the relevant knowledge and technology, allowing you to make a difference by building a better, more sustainable future for our people and the planet.
During this 3-year programme, you will achieve a broad range of technical and professional experience, such as Level 3 BTEC, Level 3 NVQ & IOSH Managing Safely. Training will consist of day release training programs at Uniper Academy, and also on the job training at Veolia Nottinghamshire MRF.
We will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout this programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it in.
The role of an MRF Apprentice at Veolia is a varied and challenging role, you will be exposed to all aspects of the process from plant operating techniques to preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs. Continuous advancements in technology mean you will be involved in various plant efficiency improvements which will require you to develop new skills and integrate new equipment on site. State of the art technologies and challenging targets ensures no two days are the same for an Engineer in our MRFs.
To be eligible for our Material Recovery Facility Apprenticeship Programme you will need a passion for contemporary environmental issues, an interest in Engineering, awareness of Health and Safety and strong motivation for the role. You will also need to meet our entry criteria:
