The world is crammed with companies broadcasting their stories, each grasping for our attention. In this crowded environment, companies need to work harder than ever to create content that connects with our intended audience.

Make Your Company Promo’ is a chance for you to roll up your sleeves and get to grips with the nuts and bolts of corporate storytelling that’s deliverable to the contemporary consumer

You can do this course both on-site at our campus, or off-site in your office, place of work or a location of your choice.

ABOUT THE DAY

This two-day course is ideal for curious, energetic people in the corporate sector – from established brands to ambitious start-ups – seeking a greater understanding of the power of storytelling and how to create unique, entertaining content.

Participants will have the opportunity to dig deeper into the world of creative storytelling, with highly-experienced industry practitioners on both theoretical and practical levels. On day one you will devise, brainstorm and script a 90-second story. On day two you’ll plan, shoot and edit your film.

You’ll go on a creative journey through the entire production cycle of a promotional film, culminating in a review session with your peers, where you will get the chance to analyse the films and extract core takeaways for you to carry forward into your corporate messaging.

  • How to define and refine your brand identity as a unique story to be told
  • How to tell this story in images as well as words
  • How to target your intended audience
  • How to brainstorm in teams to define and refine the core messaging
  • How to work better to a brief
  • Contemporary filmmaking techniques
  • How to get strong performances from professional actors
  • Creative editing

FOCUS AREAS

  • Corporate messaging: you will reexamine your brand identity as a story to tell rather than purely as a product to sell.
  • Brainstorming: you will look again at converting ideas into coherent, structured stories that communicate emotion as well as narrative.
  • Audience: you will look at identifying and breaking down your audience, how this affects your story and how effective targeting can be a powerful creative tool rather than a limitation.
  • Visual storytelling: you will learn the core principles of visual storytelling, how an idea becomes an image and how a sequence of images can tell a clear story.

  • Directing: you will learn the techniques of working with cameras and with actors, how to collaborate on performance and how to capture this on screen. 
  • Creative editing: you will learn how to transform your raw footage into a coherent story using cutting-edge editing tools and techniques.
  • Feedback; you will both give and receive constructive feedback on your stories with a screening and review session.
