What you’ll be doing
Did you know, at Morrisons we make 60% of our fresh food in-house? This makes us the UK’s 2nd-largest fresh food manufacturer and puts our manufacturing team right at the heart of our business. Join us, as a Manufacturing Degree Apprentice, and you’ll get to make an impact from day one, as you work on exciting projects and help us make our manufacturing processes simpler and more efficient.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to run production lines and lead production teams while getting to grips with a wide range of manufacturing equipment, processes and technologies, and gaining exposure to a variety of manufacturing teams. This should help you develop the skills and experience you need to become a Team Manager before too long and progress to a Shift Manager by the end of the programme.
Achieve a valuable degree
While you’re working with us, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Management and Business at the University of Bradford. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. But we’ll offer you at least half a day leave a week to concentrate on your university studies. And, in return for your hard work and determination, you’ll gain full chartered membership of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute). What’s more, you’ll have the experience you need to step into a Shift Manager role at the end of the programme.
What you’ll need to join us
We’re looking for resilience, determination and good leadership skills, along with the flexibility to meet the changing needs of our business. You’ll also need a minimum of 104 UCAS points (based on the new UCAS tariff or 260 based on the old tariffs) and Grace C (4) or above in Maths and English GCSEs.
