Imagine transforming new ideas into awe-inspiring technology. And, at the same time, gaining a debt-free Master’s degree in Engineering Business Management. On this programme, you’ll learn how to translate the concepts and prototypes developed by our engineers into the processes and procedures we need to build our world famous integrated power solutions. You’ll be part of a supportive team and surrounded by experts – it’s an amazing way to start your career, learning first hand while you earn your degree.

The programme

The Rolls-Royce Manufacturing Management Sponsored Degree Programme is a four-year scheme designed to help you gain wide-reaching manufacturing experience and knowledge, and to progress into key roles. It’s a stepping stone into first level management – you could become a Production Leader or a Business Improvement Leader, for example. These are critical manufacturing roles with high levels of responsibility. The programme also gives you the opportunity to get a debt-free, globally-recognised and highly-respected Master’s degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, a Russell Group University. In your first year, you’ll study a foundation programme, which will prepare you for the Master’s coursework you’ll begin in year two. This is not a fast-track route to Chartered Engineer status; instead, this is an industry focused MSc qualification, paid for by us, that demands real commitment on everything from residential modules to written and work-based assignments. During the programme, you’ll be joined at Warwick by peers from a wide range of industries, enhancing your learning experience and network even more.

What you’ll do

You’ll study part-time whilst working with and learning from experts in their field. Discovering different business areas on a series of six-month rotations, you’ll get a real understanding of who we are and how the manufacturing function operates. More than that, you’ll develop your knowledge of diverse areas like forecasting, supply chain design and management, production planning, manufacturing, and assembly and repair. Ultimately, you’ll learn how to turn innovative engineering ideas into high-tech reality. And that’s something we can all be proud of.

What you’ll get

  • A competitive salary starting from £15,300 a year
  • A competitive pension, and 33 days’ holiday per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
  • Career support from day one
  • A debt-free Master’s degree and professional experience

What you’ll need

This is a big challenge, so we’re looking for people who share our passion for making things better. You’ll also need to be genuinely excited about forging a career in a manufacturing environment. You’ll have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, at least three A-Levels (or equivalent) at grades A* to B, one of which should be Maths, Physics or a science/numerate subject. Just as importantly, you’ll have good communication and team working skills, as well as plenty of drive. On top of all that, you’ll be able to tell us about your achievements outside of education; this could be in sports, languages, charity work or similar.
