The marketing apprentice will support the marketing and digital communications officer in the development and delivery of the marcomms strategy.

This will include:

  • Contributing to marketing & communications planning
  • Supporting the development of health & wellbeing resources, including a monthly School Health newsletter
  • Creating and posting social media content for specific audiences, tracking engagement and using insights to develop future content
  • Working with different members of the skill-mix health & wellbeing team to ensure health information is accurate and informative
  • Updating and creating content for the Compass website using WordPress CMS, following best practices for SEO and user experience
  • Reporting on website activity using Google Analytics
  • Supporting the skill-mix team in the creation of professional, branded presentations on a range of topics
  • Co-producing materials and developing the service offer with children, young people and families; thinking creatively about how to engage these groups

The marketing apprentice may also support projects across other Compass services, including trading arm Positive Effect. They will have the opportunity to apply their college learnings to projects of their own conception in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Annual wage: £10,000.00

Working week: Monday - Thursday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm and Friday, 9.00 am - 4.30 pm (30 minutes lunch break). Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

Total hours per week: 37.00

Expected duration: 2 years

Possible start date: 6 Sep 2021

  • Strong IT skills, including competent use of Microsoft Office
  • Good written English
  • High-quality presentation of work – graphic design skills ideal

  • GSCE maths (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above
