Are you looking to build experience and start your career in our world-class production teams while studying for a business degree?

Our Nestlé Operations Degree Apprenticeship offers you a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience at the very heart of our production and manufacturing function, whilst developing vital business knowledge and earning a competitive salary.

You’ll be part of our front line production team making a genuine contribution to the business from day one. The focus will be on developing your skills and knowledge, so your job will support your learning as you work towards your fully-funded final degree. Yes, we will pay for your studies too!

What can you expect?

The three-year programme offers you an amazing opportunity to combine University studies with practical experience in our global business. By the end of the Apprenticeship, you'll have developed the professional knowledge combined with the skills and behaviours to set you up for future success.

You'll study for a BA (Hons.) degree in Professional Business Practice at Sheffield Hallam University in blocks of study and combine this with rotations in our factory operations teams. To meet business needs this may involve shift work patterns comprising days, nights and weekends. In the first two years you'll gain invaluable experience in all elements of manufacturing, including a focus on safety, health and the environment. You will have a passion for continuous improvement and a thirst to learn quickly. We are looking for confident individuals who will challenge our ways of working and be able to interact and present themselves professionally at all levels. In your final year, you will specialise in a specific area, based on your strengths, future aspirations and our business needs.

Your start date will be September 2018 and your starting salary will be £16,000, with the potential to increase on each year of the programme providing you've successfully completed your training and met performance expectations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real experience of production and manufacturing while studying for a business degree.

In 2018, the Nestlé Operations Degree Apprenticeship is available at our Dalston, Fawdon, Tutbury, Wisbech and York sites.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for ambitious and innovative candidates with a genuine passion for learning and developing a production and manufacturing career in the food and drink industry. Studying for a degree while holding down a job in a fast-moving business like ours can be demanding and challenging yet rewarding. That's why we're looking for high quality people with real potential who can match our ambition. In return, we'll pay your course fees, as well as all your costs for accommodation, meals and travel while you're studying in Sheffield. Not to mention the provision of great support and a variety of benefits.

In line with the updated UCAS scoring system, candidates who have completed their A-levels in 2017 or later will need 104 UCAS points from three A Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent to be eligible for this programme. The equivalent requirement based on the former UCAS scoring system (2016 and previous) is 260 UCAS points.

As we are looking for candidates who are keen to develop both their academic business knowledge and their technical, production and manufacturing skills, those who already hold a business related degree unfortunately are not eligible to apply.

To enable you to build the necessary skills and relevant experience on this programme, candidates will need to be able and willing to work shift patterns.
