We have an established Legal Apprenticeship programme in place, having been at the forefront of this new qualification since its inception.  We are passionate about your legal career with excellent training and development.  We are currently recruiting for between 2-5 Legal Apprentices to join our firm. You will be working closely with our New Client Team, who deal with all the new enquiries that come into the firm. Initially assisting with administrative tasks, as you progress throughout your apprenticeship you will eventually become a Litigation Assistant and will be responsible for your own caseload.

As well as gaining excellent practical skills working, within in our fast-paced legal environment, you will also attend lectures and workshops via our partnership with CILEX, where you will hone the theoretical side.  You will be supported with an onsite mentor and will be provided regular study time as well.

We have a strong track record with legal apprentices.  Typically you will do 3 rotations within the firm. Initially in the busy administration function for 3 months then build your experience within the New Client Team Administration ready for the full graduate training programme which equips the Legal Apprentice with a range of skills designed to promote them into the Litigation Assistant within the NCT team and then within one of the firm’s wider specialisms.

Job description

  • Inputting all details into computerised case management system
  • Creating the computerised file correctly and quickly
  • Dealing with external client correspondence
  • Creating physical files accurately and promptly
  • Accurately recording all correspondence
  • Administration support, such as typing, filing, faxing, photocopying
  • Speaking to clients and taking initial attendances
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Person specification

Required Qualifications/Training

  • 3 A-levels at grade B and above preferred.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch for the first year.

Salary

A competitive salary.

Holiday Entitlement

Holiday Entitlement 23 days and rising by one day every year for the first 3 years to 26 days. Please note you may be expected to work bank holidays, if you do, you will be given 1.5 days in return.
