You may be surprised to know that to make one toilet roll, the machinery involved is larger than a jumbo jet, the machine speed is faster than the motorway speed limit, and the process involves recycling paper, water and energy. If you are interested in learning more, then our two-year Process Operator Apprenticeship may be just for you.

About the Role

Our Process Operators are key to ensuring our customers receive the highest quality toilet and hand tissue products for home use from our production site in Manchester.  Working as part of our papermaking team you will receive both academic and on job training to equip you with the skills to be an active member of the team.

What You Will Do

Our Process Operator Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills you need to become an expert in your field and allow you to give input as to how you think we can do things better in the future.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn. You will study for a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations.  The training will be delivered on-site and supported by our training provider who will visit you on-site regularly.  You will be responsible for meeting all the training targets and producing a portfolio of evidence to support your learning.

Who You Are

You'll need to be 18 years old to be considered for this apprenticeship due to the requirement to work shifts.  The shift pattern is planned in advance, and you will be working 4 x 12-hours shifts (2-days and 2 nights) followed by 6 days off-shift. 

You must be driven to succeed with a positive attitude, and be happy to work as part of a team to ensure our processes run efficiently and safely.
