Detailed Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain sales knowledge and experience while working within a busy leisure centre and working towards your Sales Level 2.

As a Membership Advisor Apprentice, you will be responsible for the sale of new memberships, retention of existing members and other general duties as directed by the club manager.
You will have specific responsibility for:

•Driving best practice in prospecting for new members and for dealing with new sales enquiries
•Managing appointments, conducting facility tours and closing sales
•Growing corporate membership through corporate meetings and presentations
•Database management to aid member retention
•Operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the club
•Adherence to health & safety requirements

Ideally, you will have had some experience of working in a high quality service or sales environment.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and it would be advantageous if you have already worked in a sales but not essential.

Exact working hours will be determined, but will involve working 40 hours per week. You will need a willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

The apprenticeship will be approximately 12-15 months and you will be working towards your Sales Level 2. All of your training will be work based learning and delivered by Lifetime Training through coaching, training and assessments.

Other Information:

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £4.05 an hour for under 18’s, £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 for 21 to 24 year olds and £7.50 for 25 years old and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and any training that's part of their apprenticeship.
