By joining a School Sports in Mexico programme you will be able to put your passion for sports to a good use whilst living and working in a developing country. The programme is based in either Guadalajara where you will be working with children in a secondary school or Ciudad Guzman where you will assist coaches at a university or secondary school three times a week and work with a centre for street children the other two days.
By taking part in this project you will be helping to teach children and young adults the importance of sports and inspiring them to develop their individual sporting abilities. Although football is the most popular sport in Mexico, volunteers can also become involved in teaching volleyball and basketball.
The work will involve coaching children and young adults of all levels and you may get the opportunity to help prepare the students to take part in local tournaments.
