IS Service Desk Analyst Apprentice

We are currently looking for a passionate and hardworking individual for a role with a company that is involved with maintaining and upgrading one of the largest corporate real estates in Europe.
The role of the Service Desk Analyst Apprentice is providing a first point of contact for the Business within Information Systems (IS). The apprentice will carry out information gathering, perform initial diagnosis and where appropriate resolve incidents.
The Service Desk Analyst Apprentice will deal with standard changes or service requests in line with agreed processes. The Service Desk Analyst will assist the IS team in preventing incidents by carrying out relevant checks.

Main role / Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to]:
• Responsible for manning phones during agreed business hours
• Responsible for managing intranet & self-service call logging, Service Desk inbox queue and open job queue.
• Ensure all new jobs are logged with all relevant information and current jobs updated in line with work done and any communication.
• Provide first line support for all IS related incidents.
• Complete service requests in line with agreed processes
• Liaising with other support teams ensuring calls are completed within a timely manner

Desired qualities, skills and knowledge:
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate at an appropriate level for the audience
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to provide excellent customer service
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows operating system environments

Desired qualification requirements:
Minimum 5 GCSE's at grade C or above, including English and Maths.

Working week:
7am-3pm or 9am-5pm, weekly rotation.

£12,000 per annum.

Future prospects:
Progression into a full time role upon completion of the apprenticeship with an increase in wage.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
