Vacancy overview:


First and foremost you will operate the SOC function on a day to day basis monitoring, investigating and reporting security issues. The role will also require research into current and emerging security threats. On top of this, you will work with the team to provide our clients with the best possible service in this exciting new project. 


Main role and responsibilities:



  • Assisting in the configuration of rules & signatures in the optimisation of the SOC function
  • Assisting in the definition of analysis procedures and protocols
  • Seek and create opportunities to understand and contribute to SOC related initiatives
  • Produce monthly reports to clients
  • Documentation of process and procedure, design and implementation
  • Attendance of internal SOC weekly briefing 

Desirable skills:



  • A keen interest in IT Security and relating technologies 
  • Experience working with networks and servers 
  • Understanding of, or experience with security technologies Security clearance 
  • You must at least hold SC Clearance for this role or be willing to go through SC Clearance 

Personal qualities: 



  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal 

Desired qualifications: 



  • 5 A-C GCSE grades 
  • A-Levels in ICT/Business/Computing 
  • Or an Apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least the level below the planned programme)
