Technical Training within our Manufacturing function is the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to become a multi-skilled technician, with training that will take you through the many areas of vehicle manufacturing. To make the most of being a technical apprentice, you’ll need to be someone with plenty of questions about how things work and have the confidence to seek out the answers.

As a Rolls-Royce Technical Apprentice you will be attending college on a full time basis initially then reducing to part time from the second year when you will also follow a placement plan spending time within various functions of Manufacturing.
The four year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of engineering and production technology including: hand-skills, machining, fluid power, electronics, welding, robotics, control systems and many more.
With hard work and commitment, you will achieve an NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations and an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering supported by a level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Engineering. You could then have the potential to move onto the Higher National Certificate at Level 4 in Engineering subject to your performance/results.
You will learn the skills to start a successful career within a Manufacturing function such as Quality Management, Test and Finish, Parts Quality, Production Steering, Process Planning, Total Vehicle Validation, Bespoke Manufacturing and Vehicle Production.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications required for Apprenticeship:
A minimum of 5 GCSE’S Grade B or above including Maths and English at Grade 6 or above.
Good problem solving and manual skills.
Evidence of strong organisation and planning skills.
An eye for detail.
Team spirited and self-motivated, you’re someone who can focus on the job at hand even when the pressure’s on.
You will need to have good communication skills with the ability to think logically and to work independently or as part of a team.
A technology related subject or a BTEC level 3 (60 credits plus) or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Technology discipline would be advantageous but is not essential.
Your career with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will be designed to meet individual aspirations and the business needs of an internationally recognised company. You start on a business awareness programme followed by career objective training in the relevant departments.
Rate of Pay:
A competitive salary enhanced annually depending on individual progress and performance.
Eligible for company car scheme on joining.
40 hour working week, start and finish times will vary according to work based placements and college hours.
