Ricoh UK Products Ltd has exciting opportunities for Technical Engineering Apprentices to join their team, starting on Tuesday 28th August 2018. This apprenticeship programme will help the right individual to establish a career within the engineering sector, and offers fantastic qualifications and work place benefits.
Our Technical Engineering apprenticeship is a four year programme, delivered in partnership with Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology. During the programme, you will rotate around a number of technical departments to learn key engineering skills and to gain exposure to all areas of the business. The programme is aimed at individuals who enjoy both practical and academic work, and focuses on engineering design, problem solving and project management. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to establish a career in the engineering sector, through college attendance and mentoring from highly qualified, experienced engineers.
Method of Study
The first 2 years of the apprenticeship individuals will study (three days a week) at Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology, where they complete relevant engineering training (aligned to individual experience and qualifications), following a technical pathway. The remaining two days will be based at Ricoh.
In the final 2 years apprentices will be based at Ricoh and attend college on a day release basis to complete their academic studies
- Achieved A* - C in 5 GCSE subjects (including English, Maths and Science); and
- Achieved A* - C in 2 A Level Subjects* (preferably a Maths / Science based subject) or completion of a relevant Engineering BTEC qualification.
*Please note A Levels must be achieved prior to the apprenticeship start date.
