About the role:

We have a new exciting opportunity to work as an Mechanical Engineer. This role with give you the opportunity to work for a market leading company, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience to ensure you develop to your full potential throughout the apprenticeship.

 

You will be enrolled onto a Building Services Engineering HNC (SCQF Level 7). Upon completion you will have the opportunity for further development and qualification. The qualification entitles the learner to apply for membership of professional bodies, such as such as CIBSE, who are registered with The Engineering Council, for the designated title of 'Engineering Technician' (Eng.Tech.).

What you'll be doing

 

Your responsibilities as an Trainee Mechanical Engineer:

As an Trainee Mechanical Engineering, you would work within a team on our projects to assist with the manufacture, installation and testing of mechanical equipment in buildings or industrial plants.

Who we're looking for

 

You should have one of the following:

  • Higher Maths and Science at Grade B or above
  • An HNC or NC in a related discipline, e.g. NC in Building Services.
  • SVQ2/3 Heating and Ventilation
  • NC of Foundation Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Engineering Systems
  • Other qualifications and levels of experience within the Building Services Engineering sector.

You should also have:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good team working skills
  • Have the ambition and motivation to work within the engineering and construction industry
