March 2019 NEWS FLASH: we currently have 2 sought after spaces departing SEPTEMBER 2019 for 6 months due to unforeseen drop outs! PLEASE Contact ASAP if interested.

Plan ahead to ensure you don't miss out on this amazingly popular programme & destination; there are limited places so we advise applying 1.5-2 years in advance!  (Sept 2019 & March 2020 were already full by January 2019! But still get in touch to be added to the waiting list.)

Our 6 month Medical placements in Japan are a fantastic opportunity to experience work in a busy hospital environment, while living in one of the world’s most culturally fascinating countries. Our placements provide the opportunity for the majority of our Medical volunteers to work in Red Cross hospitals. Sample the world of medicine around the country and witness the daily inner-workings of a hospital – from nursing to brain surgery!

The more Japanese you know, the more responsible the tasks you may be given. The role of a medical volunteer in Japan is exciting and varied and offers the volunteer a real insight into both medical care and Japanese culture.
