Brunel University London
Brunel University London is an international university based on a campus in Uxbridge, west London.
Founded in 1966 as a new kind of university dedicated to teaching and research relevant to industry and society. The university welcomes over 13,000 students from more than 110 countries, creating a lively and strikingly international community.
Recently awarded silver in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework we attract academics from around the world to teach our courses and lead our research programmes. From them, you’ll discover new ways of thinking and solving problems, advance your knowledge and understanding of your discipline and develop your broader, transferable skills – all of which will help you build a successful career.
Brunel attracts students and staff from around the world, who live and work together as members of our single London campus community. Our campus is beautifully maintained, set within leafy surroundings, and our excellent facilities give our students a safe and welcoming setting to study and thrive. The campus provides everything you need within a ten-minute walk, including shops, medical centre, bank, cafes and accommodation. You’ll also find world-class sports facilities, a diverse arts centre, an active Students’ Union and multi-faith facilities.
We’re also well connected. The town of Uxbridge is just a short walk away where you’ll find plenty of shops, a multi-screen cinema and dozens of bars and restaurants. The hustle and bustle of city life is right on your doorstep too, with central London only 40 minutes away by tube and Heathrow Airport is just six miles away.
We guarantee accommodation on campus for all new students who meet their course conditions and apply by 29 August 2019. You’ll find comfortable and secure accommodation across the campus, with a range of rooms to suit different budgets and needs. To help you settle in, you’ll find student mentors in the residences who are there to support you when you arrive.
You’ll find all of our facilities – halls, catering, social and sports facilities, lecture theatres, library, computer centre and welfare facilities – on one campus just south of Uxbridge. Over £300m has been invested in improving facilities, including extending the library, building a new Health Sciences & Social Care building, renovated lecture centre and new Engineering and Design annexe. As a postgraduate student, you’ll also benefit from study and social areas in the Graduate School area.
At Brunel, we help you to develop your skills and prepare you for your future career as soon as you join us. We’re proud of our reputation for producing graduates that are among the most employable in the UK, with 93% in a job or further education six months after they leave.
