The motor industry is fast-paced, where technology is continuously evolving. There are over 150 automotive job roles to choose from, ranging from light vehicle and body & paint, to customer service and management. In most cases, qualified automotive employees earn more than the average wage with typical earnings of between £25-£35,000 per year.

Who are we? We are the IMI.

We represent individuals working in the industry, and offer the leading qualifications for the automotive sector. The IMI offers extensive careers advice to young people nationwide, training opportunities and sets standards for apprenticeship training and programmes for motor industry employees.
