Renishaw

If going straight to university isn’t for you, why not do an apprenticeship with Renishaw? An apprenticeship provides a real alternative to university, allowing you to lay the foundations for a career in engineering, electronics, or software. We have been employing and training apprentices for over 30 years and some of our most senior employees started their careers this way.

Renishaw is one of the most exciting places to work as an engineer – you will have the opportunity to do some really interesting and ground breaking work in a company renowned for its innovation. We specialise in metrology, the science of measurement, and our products ensure that our customers are able to increase their manufacturing performance and quality. Our customers include companies that manufacture engines for aeroplanes, high performance bikes, and F1 cars. In our health care division we are a world leader in CAD/Cam dentistry – if you have ever had a new tooth made, then maybe the dentist ordered it from a dental laboratory that used Renishaw technology. We also make robots for brain surgery!

Founded in 1974, Renishaw now employs over 3000 people all over the world. Our headquarters are based in Gloucestershire (our offices and factories are 20 miles north of the city of Bristol) and as we make and assemble most of what we sell, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience at the cutting edge of technology and engineering.

We take on engineering apprentices who will learn and develop skills in mechanical, electronic and manufacturing areas.

Do you enjoy developing your own apps, games and writing code? Do you do your own programming and have a passion for technology? Then we are interested in hearing from you for our Software Apprentice Scheme.

At Renishaw you will gain first class experience and qualifications that will enable you to have a successful career in a world class engineering business and be a key part in the success of our future.
