We’ve been pioneering new ways of delivering high quality Learning Disability, Mental Health and Substance Misuse services for fifty years. We’re dedicated to helping people navigate a complex world, whether they’re using our services – or helping to deliver them. We recruit and empower people who share our passion for developing new possibilities and even better services.
Our story began in 1964 with a project focused on street drinkers in London. Today, we’re a health and social support leader, operating over 200 services in England, in settings that range from drop-in centres and residential services, to prisons and people’s own homes. Whether someone has needs around drugs, alcohol, health (physical or mental), a learning disability or a combination, our integrated services can meet them.
Putting innovation into practice
By tailoring our support for each individual, we’ve seen people from all walks of life face their personal challenges – whether that’s to keep a stable home, find the right job, learn new skills, rebuild relationships or enjoy life to the full. Innovation runs through everything we do. Because what works for one person might not for the next. That’s why we’ve a great track record of finding fresh ways to deliver services that reach more people, more easily and even more successfully.
