4Skills is all about supporting people like you to build great futures in the media industry. People from different backgrounds and walks of life, different stages of their careers and those who want to be part of this evolving multi-platform business.

Channel 4 Apprenticeships help bright young people to get great experience in the industry, get a Level 3 or 4 qualification and get paid at the same time. No experience is required to apply for this programme, you just need to love TV and what we do and have a genuine passion for building a career in the area you apply to.
In 2020 we will be offering roles in a number of departments including Press, Legal, Finance, 4creative and Digital, and opportunities will be available across our London, Leeds, Bristol and Manchester offices.

Production Training Scheme
So, as you’ll know from doing your research, Channel 4 is a broadcaster and we don’t make any of our own programmes. Instead we commission them from our network of independent production companies based across the UK. A healthy independent production sector is vital for a healthy Channel 4, so each year we support 12 entry level trainees to work across at indies across the UK, developing their skills to work in production as a paid researcher, production co-ordinator or technical assistant. Applications will be re-open in 2021.

New Material
New Material is a brand new event series launched this year which aims to give attendees an understanding of the different roots into the media industry and what you need to start your media career.
The events are filled with a mix of panels featuring Channel 4 staff and local creatives, interactive workshops and lots of networking opportunities! This is a great opportunity for those of you who are thinking about a career in the media but not sure where to start.
