United Kingdom

This is a historic moment. Never before has humanity’s future been so closely linked to environmental concerns. Our climate is changing. Natural resources are running out and biodiversity is collapsing.

This is why Veolia aspires to a challenging purpose: ecological transformation to combat climate change

Veolia is the UK leader in resource management.

We’re tackling the climate crisis through our comprehensive range of waste, water and energy management services that help build a circular economy and protect the environment for generations to come. We're innovators committed to carbon reduction through energy-efficient solutions, preserving natural resources, protecting biodiversity, combating climate change and raising environmental awareness.

See the difference you can make

We know the climate crisis demands us to find radical, meaningful solutions. Veolia apprenticeship programmes will put you at the very front of this ecological transformation. Join us for the opportunity to make an impact that will be felt for generations to come.

We want our Apprentices to be able to contribute to our organisation and the communities we work in. You’ll learn loads on the job through your day to day work, but we’ll also give you the support to develop new skills. With the chance to earn a real wage, and with some of our Apprenticeships offering a qualification, you'll have everything you need to develop a truly outstanding career.

After you finish the apprenticeship, you can continue learning for as long as you want to. We are strong believers in continuous development and actively encourage and support all our people to keep going.

How we’ll reward you

We reward your potential and commitment with a great package of benefits. As an employee on our apprenticeship programme, you’ll get:

  • A permanent contract with opportunities beyond the apprenticeship programme - around 90% of our apprentices stay with us and go on to have really successful careers.
  • On-the-job training delivered by experienced professionals
  • Off-the-job training delivered by our partners (colleges and universities) or dedicated in-house training and development team
  • An employee assistance programme
  • Mental health first aiders across the business
  • Pension scheme
  • Up to 25 days of annual leave each year plus bank holidays
  • An Apprentice Awards Ceremony and recognition
  • An award-winning cycle to work scheme
  • Savings on many high street brands and shops

How to apply

To apply you will need to have at minimum of GCSE Grade 9-4 (or equivalent e.g. GCSE Grade A-C) in Maths and English and be eligible to work in the UK. Some of the roles may also require you to have GCSEs in Science and IT/Technical subjects. If you meet that criteria then we want to hear from you!

Apply online by following our application process. This keeps things consistent and fair for everyone. The application may challenge you, but don’t worry, it helps us to see your potential.

Following the online application, your next task is to complete gamified assessment challenges. If you are successful in this part of the process we’ll invite you to attend a virtual assessment day and then a face-to-face site visit.

At each stage, one of our Early Careers team will be in touch with you to let you know how you performed and if we’d like to see you again. We know how important feedback is, so we’ll share constructive commentary regardless of whether you’re successful or unsuccessful.

Before you apply, the best thing you can do is make sure you understand the apprenticeship programme and the development on offer. We also suggest following us on social media to see what we've been up to. A little research goes a long way.

What we want to see

Do you have passion, ambition and eagerness to learn? Perhaps you have some really innovative ideas to help tackle climate change or you work well in diverse teams?

If any of these attributes sound like you, we want to hear from you.
