Overview:
The Digital & AI Support apprentice plays an important role in helping our global teams work more effectively by encouraging the adoption of digital tools and AI and enabling a consistent, user-friendly collaboration experience.
Sitting within the Digital Adoption Team, this role supports colleagues to use platforms like Microsoft 365 including Copilot, SharePoint, Asana, Lucid, and Azure DevOps with confidence. You’ll help shape how these tools are experienced across the business by maintaining shared resources, delivering clear communication, and building awareness of new capabilities and best practices.
You’ll work closely with the team and wider IT and business teams to improve how people connect, share, and collaborate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, supporting others, and driving positive change in how digital tools are used every day.
Responsibilities:
- Support the adoption of collaboration and productivity tools by providing clear guidance, templates, and examples of good practice.
- Create and maintain engaging digital content such as quick-start guides, tips, short videos, and support articles in line with company design guidelines.
- Deliver communications, updates, and newsletters that promote awareness of platform changes, new features, and successful use cases.
- Work with the team to gather feedback on tool usage and user experience to identify areas for improvement and help inform the roadmap.
- Contribute to internal campaigns and engagement activities that promote digital confidence and collaborative working.
- Help design and curate shared workspaces, templates, and dashboards that support effective day-to-day collaboration.
- Monitor platform engagement and digital habits to identify opportunities to enhance productivity and tool integration.
- Work closely with stakeholders across IT, L&D and business functions to align digital ways of working with broader organisational goals.
- Stay up to date with Microsoft 365 updates, AI tools like Copilot, and emerging technologies that can support continuous improvement.
- Promote the responsible and effective use of AI tools to enhance collaboration, automate routine tasks, and improve content creation.
- Identify and share practical use cases for generative AI across different teams to support smarter working and innovation.
- Support colleagues in understanding when and how to use AI tools effectively, with consideration for data privacy and digital professionalism.
Required skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain digital tools in a simple and engaging way.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 tools, especially Teams and SharePoint, and willing to explore additional collaboration platforms.
- An organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks.
- A people-focused mindset, with an interest in improving user experience and building digital confidence across teams.
- A commitment to learning, adapting, and contributing to continuous improvement in a remote-first working environment.
Additionally, the following experience would be beneficial:
- Familiarity with tools such as CoPilot, Asana, Azure DevOps, Lucidchart, Confluence, or intranet platforms.
- Experience producing internal communications or digital content (e.g. guidance, newsletters, videos).
- An understanding of digital collaboration challenges in global or hybrid work environments.
- Awareness of digital transformation, AI integration, or stakeholder engagement practices.
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:
Hybrid working, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am - 5:30pm (e.g. 8am - 4pm or 9:30m - 5:30pm) with 30 minutes lunch break.
