Do I leave my Apprenticeship?

I knew I didn't want to go to uni but I had no idea what sort of career I wanted, so I decided to do an apprenticeship in Digital Marketing as I found the whole thing pretty interesting, turns out that I don't like it as much as I thought I did. I'm over 3 months in and part of me wants to stick it out and part of me doesn't. I know I want to do practical work and not office work, I'm not really sure on what to do.

    Hi Charlotte

It sounds like it may be back to the drawing board time! One possibility is to move to a more suitable apprenticeship. You really ought to talk things through with a careers adviser if you have access to one. In the absence of that service, then talking it through with someone who is knowledgeable about the labour market in geberal would be valuable. If you are 19 or older you can arrange to see an adviser from the National Careers Service.

The term "practical" covers a multitude of possibilities. Think about where your strengths lie and what you enjoy doing. When you eventually settle into employment you're going to be doing this for a long time so it's important to find an occupation that has a good fit with your interests, values and abilities.

If you would like to reply with further info I will try to point you towards some possibilities but it's not really possible to do careers guidance remotely which is why I stress the importance of face to face discussion!

    Regards

    Chris
