I did badly in my GCSE results and didn't enroll in college when everyone else did, now though I'm not sure what to do or where to go?? I know I cant study the fashion course that I wanted to with such bad results, but every entry level course I look at seems to only be enrolling for next year! Do I really have to wait that long? :(

    Hi Brandon

Colleges have suffered big funding cuts and this might mean that there are no spaces available. Contact the college directly and enquire about this and while you are doing this ask if they have an adviser you could arrange an appointment with.

If there really aren't any places available on suitable courses or it is now too late to join then you may have to think of a constructive way to fill the intervening period.

This could be to get a full or part time job or perhaps to do some volunteering. You might want to look into the possibility of getting some private tuition to boost your confidence with certain subjects.

Another possibility is to check the availability of traineeships in your locality.

Do get back in touch if you need further help or explanation!

    Regards

    Chris
